Caroline Covington is a promising young sculptor as well as a product of a modern military family.  Her father is a dentist and her mother is a hygienist for the US military, and their duties have caused a total of eleven moves for the family over the years (which have included residencies in Massachusetts, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Germany).

Growing up with such a transient sense of home in terms of physical location (as well as culture), Caroline has learned to develop her roots and sense of continuity through her artistic work and self-expression.  Spending seven years growing up on US military bases in Germany (Stuttgart and Hohenfels) not only heightened Caroline’s overall level of cultural exposure and sensitivity, but it would also eventually serve as a significant influence on her work.

In 2007, Caroline earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Georgia. Currently, she is completing her Masters of Fine Arts at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
